    Brief

We agree the goal, the audience and the metric that decides each test, then write a one-page brief per concept.

  2. 02

    Hooks

Each concept gets several openings written against one body, so the test isolates the hook.

  3. 03

    Production

Creators film to a shot list in their own setting, and we edit the variants for each placement.

  4. 04

    Launch

Ads run from the creator's handle as Spark Ads or partnership ads, or from the brand account when the test calls for it.

    Readout

We read results against the agreed metric, cut what missed and write the next brief.

One body, four hooks, three creators

A hook test puts several openings on one body and casts more than one creator, so a strong presenter can't pass for a strong hook. The decision metric is read across the whole grid.

In this example the demo opening posts the best hook rate in every column and still misses the CPA target in all three.

Mock test matrix: hook rate and CPA for four hooks across three creators, target CPA $22. Not client data.

Filmed where creators already film

Creators shoot vertical, in their own rooms, streets and studios, with the product in hand. We cut 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and 4:5 where a placement accepts it, from the same footage.

FAQ

What does Metic Digital do?

We write, cast, produce and test short-form creator ads for apps, fintech and consumer tech brands, and run them as paid media on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts.

Do you run the media as well as the creative?

We can run the tests in your ad accounts, or hand the ads and the test plan to your media team. Spend and data stay in your accounts either way.

Is Metic a UGC marketplace?

No. We are a creative team that plans tests, writes hooks and casts creators per brief, with production as part of that work. We don't sell videos by the unit.

How big is a first test?

It depends on spend. Every variant needs enough delivery to read, so we size the test matrix to the budget rather than the other way round.

Who owns the content, and for how long can we run it?

Usage terms are agreed with each creator in writing before filming: where the content runs, for how long and from whose account. TikTok's Spark Ads codes (TikTok, October 2025) last 7, 30, 60 or 365 days, so we match them to the contract. More in our note on usage rights.

How are results reported?

In the metric agreed at the start, usually CPA, ROAS or cost per install, from your ad accounts. Hook rate, hold rate and click-through sit alongside to explain why an ad won or lost.

How do creator ads stay compliant?

Every ad carries a clear disclosure. On TikTok the creator enables the commercial content setting, which tags the post as a paid partnership (TikTok, April 2026). We also require a spoken or on-screen mention, since the FTC does not treat a platform tool as enough on its own (FTC, read 5 Oct 2026).
